svetlana's haiku

the choices

not so clear now ...

twilight

lonely vigil ...

colour draining away

with her

gray morning ...

fog digesting

the sun

before dawn -

stretching into silence

with words

autumn dusk ...

an angel of light

casts a shadow

red poppies -

the stain of innocence

remains

final vows -

putting all my eggs

in one basket

the tiger

eyes its stripes -

harvest moon

dewdrops ignite

for the rising sun ...

morning mist

final act -

facing the death scene

without a script

distant echoes ...

I learn the lines

of loss

star-crossed lovers ...

they entangle

their lines

candlelight

strutting in a dewdrop

centre-stage

the sun

still entombed ...

morning dew

dewdrops

hidden from view -

morning rain

this thirst

longing to be slaked -

warm beer

empty cross -

love splintering

on the earth

stillness -

the apple decaying

on the tree

Good Friday -

the transformation

still to come

autumn night

unfolding before my eyes

from nothing

my image

two inches behind

your eyes

last supper -

the pledge of love

in this cup
