a whisky sodden
sioux under the prairie sun
sombrero to nose
amidst the sky's buried dead
tells ghosts their tribes are no more. |

coin in a fountain:
a splash, pool ripples, coin sinks,
there is no sound chink.
afference & efference
drawn to stillness, the coin blinks.
coin in a fountain:
it gleams beyond reach for alms,
children´s arms refract.
cascadence is the cadence,
airborne to water´s silence.
coin in a fountain:
the you stare down to the bottom,
face upon water.
the hand that spun the coin is
sound of one hand clapping. |

A zig zag traces
a jingle jangle
strawberry fair day
doodles forever chained
race across the fences… |
